    The Political Analysis Report

The "Ovidiu Sincai" Institute has set to become an authorized voice in the field of political analysis and reasearch. Between 2004 and 2012 a few analysis reports were launched and presented. The Institute's reports were sent to Romanian political parties, mass media, other organisations and embassies. The financing of these researches was ensured entirely from the Institute's own funds.

       The "Ovidiu Sincai" European School

On 18 June 2004, the "Ovidiu Sincai" Institute has started another educational project, by establishing the "Ovidiu Sincai" European School, under the aegis of the Council of Europe. The School is a member of the Council of Europe’s Network of Schools of Political Studies. It annually recruits 40 participants selected from a wide spectrum of the Romanian society. The School’s main objective is training future decision-makers, representatives of political parties, of the judiciary, journalists, businessmen/women etc., in the spirit of democratic and European practices and creating a proper framework for their sharing of experiences. The activities of the School are mainly focused on the organization of four interactive seminars to be held in Romania (three) and Strasbourg, the graduation certificates being handed by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe within a festive setting.

The first promotion of the "Ovidiu Sincai" European School has graduated in April 2005 in Strasbourg. The institute has also edited a review of this first promotion: Review of the "Ovidiu Sincai" European school, which continued to be issued during each subsequent edition.

In July 2005 the opening ceremony of the second promotion took place and, during 2005, two seminars were organized, in the Danube Delta (7-10 July 2005) and Odorheiu Secuiesc (6-9 October 2005), the third taking place in the period 30 March - 2 April 2006 in Predeal.

Within the third edition of the school, seminars were organised in Odorheiu Secuiesc (16-19 November 2006), Poiana Brasov (22-25 March 2007) and the Danube Delta (14-17 June 2007).

During the fourth edition of the school, seminars were organised in Brasov (13-16 December 2007), Odorheiu Secuiesc (10-13 April 2008) and in the Danube Delta (19-22 June 2008).

During the fifth edition of the school, seminars were organised in Brasov (22-25 January 2009), Odorheiu Secuiesc (2-5 April 2009) and in the Danube Delta (11-14 June 2009).

During the sixth edition of the school, seminars were organised in Bran (4-7 February 2010), Odorheiu Secuiesc (22-25 April 2010) and in the Danube Delta (17-20 June 2010).

During the seventh edition of the school, seminars were organised in Brasov (3-6 February 2011), Odorheiu Secuiesc (7-10 April 2011) and in the Danube Delta (2-5 June 2011).

During the eighth edition of the school, seminars were organised in Odorheiu Secuiesc (29 March - 1st April 2012), Moeciu (10-13 May 2012) and in the Danube Delta (5-8 July 2012).

During the ninth edition of the school, seminars were organised in Odorheiu Secuiesc (21-24 March 2013), Paltinis (23-26 May 2013) and Mahmudia (11-14 July 2013).

As a result of developing this project the "Ovidiu Sincai" Institute has managed, in May 2005, to open a regional school, the European School of Transylvania, which gathered 40 participants of all political orientations, representatives of all parliamentary parties, of the most important ethnic minorities from this area, of the academic environment, businessmen, etc. The selection of the participants was thus made as to provide a good cross section of society reflecting a wide spectrum of political view points with a good percentage of women and representation of the region's geographic, religious and ethnic differences. The finances for this school were insured, for the year of study 2005-2006, by organising a fund-raising campaign, entitled "European Evening" organised in Bucharest on 8 December 2004, 19 May 2005 and 28 November 2006, unfolding under the high patronage of the former Presidents of Romania and supported by a significant number of personalities from the country's public life.

Up to the present, the first edition of the European School of Transylvania has taken place, with the three seminars organised in Poiana Brasov (20-22 May 2005), in the Danube Delta (8-11 September 2005) and in Odorheiu Secuiesc (23-26 February 2006).

       The "Ovidiu Sincai" Academic School

A comprehensive project initiated by the Institute in the autumn of 2002 was the opening of the "Ovidiu Sincai" Academic School, with the specialization in "Political Management".

An important step for achieving a sustainable institutional construction was the authorization of the School of Academic Post-University Studies by the Ministry of Education, Reasearch and Youth. Thus, the graduation certificates of the school are officialy recognized as graduate degrees in the field of political management.

Starting with the university year 2004-2005 scholarships were granted to students from the Republic of Moldova, designated by the parties of the democratic left from this country. This protocole also continued for the following university years.

    - The Education Workshops

In 2003 and 2004, the Institute has organized the "Education Workshops" in Bucharest and several places in the country. These workshops are mainly aimed at training people in charge of the communication, image and public relations departments in various institutions and organisations, for them to acquire modern and efficient techniques and working methods.
